It's alright......

Performance, balance and mixing were all nice. The overall sound is quite good. I would never listen to this song though for one reason: It has no hook. No unique melody or funky riff or rhythm that sticks in my mind and makes me want to listen again. Again good mixing though. This would be great as background music in a James Bond FPS. Or porn. Lol. Btw thanx for the review of my "super mario 3 jazz".

No1r responds:

Yup, well, thanks for your critic :) You're simply right, this song has no "hook" and no unique melody or riffs..I tried to do something "alternative" but i still have to learn a lot in thiz way..i hope you liked the solo at least :) Thanks again!

Just a question...

Excellent work, no doubt. What keyboard do you use?

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Yamaha DGX-305 :)

Has promise...

Are those sampled horns? If so from where?

All the cutting out of the horns made it sound glitchy. I understand this can be used to good effect, but I think you could do better.
In my opinion it could use a separate bassline.
Interesting drum programming though.

BeatAssassin responds:

You know what... I made this ages ago, and the other day I was just trying to rememer if I made the melody to this, I think i did, but if not the loop was from Soundtrack

thanks for the reviews - yea it does sound a lil glitchy

Interesting but...

It has some balance issues, like the lead violin being a bit too loud.
What did you use to make this?

Interesting simulacra.

Drums could be a bit fuller...too simplistic.

All matters of taste and opinion. Good job! Keep it coming!

BeatAssassin responds:

All of this is loops, unlike the "Mighty" beat, even the drum is a loop, I just cut it up so it sounds like a Dance track,

I used Soundtrack to make ALL of this track, And I agree the lead violin is too loud in comparison with all of the other instruments... the next track i make will contain NO loops at all.
cheers for the review

Very interesting.

As (i'm guessing) one of the few people here who knows what a circle of fifths is, I'd like to say that this is pretty good. What university do you go to?

This reminds me of the theme from the "Endless staircase" in Super Mario 64.

margarine responds:

That's exactly what I was going for :D I got a bit lost sorting out octave to start, end on etc, which is why it's not seamless. I go to Lancaster University :)
